Hi guys,

From statistics of 0.91 versions, out of 400+ downloads. No one had donated. That means strictly less than 0.25% of people will actually support if I kept doing that. So, I assumed, using that data, that no one will ever support it and I'd have to stop developing it since I'm losing too much money and hours for something that I could hard code everything and keep it to myself.

So, I was thinking and reading(or this one or even this one) a lot about should I make it a shareware or a donationware. Let me first quote something, "Do you know how many people sent in the money out of 10,000 downloads? ONE PERSON. Even though I got dozens and dozens of thank you emails for making such a great app."(from the third link) I can do the math and predict the future. Yet, 1) I want everyone to see notification. 2) Yet, losing money is no fun. So, I came up with a solution which is something in between. It may fall in to donationware or shareware depending on your definition. I decided to give something to those who'd actually donate(now there are some) to serve the purpose no. 2) but not ripping too much from those who do not to serve the purpose no. 1).

The reminders will randomly appear with the notification. Still, you can see who's online and stuff with a little annoyance, reminder messages, which I think you can live with. This is the reason why I chose this solution rather than stoping the program after 200 notifications or crippling one of the new feature which would make it clearly a shareware and violate the purpose No. 1). Please also note that, I made the key free for students and Open Source Software developers.

Some people say it's a shame begging for money for this little app. I'd say I can choose to call it begging or charging or even a real charging. Or, I can say using this little purposeless app for free and not even thinking about rewarding the developer is more shame. But, to be a nice guy, I choose to call it begging. And that is exactly the method I chose.

Hope you guys understand me,
Tee
